It’s a VRfilmmaker in your pocket. Well, not quite, but it’s very exciting in my book. It shows how really fast technology is moving to make VR available to everyone.
“Step inside your photos…” is their tagline.
How to use Google Cardboard Camera?
It’s simple. You use the app just like you would when you are now take a 360-degree still panorama with your camera, except instead of being a flat panorama, the Google Cardboard Camera app converts the 2D panorama into a 3D experience so you can see depth when you view the photo in Google Cardboard. They are calling it VRphoto.
Obviously it’s not spherical, where you can see the sky and ground too, but I think it’s a fantastic way to introduce the world to VR.
